WHAT IS Malaysia Open Championship (MOC)
Malaysia Open Championship (MOC), featuring the Malaysia Open Barista Championship (MOBC), Malaysia Open Latte Art Championship (MOLAC) and Malaysia Open Brewers Cup (MOBrC). Since its inception in 2017, MOC has been dedicated to fostering the growth and nurturing the talent of baristas throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The core objective of MOC is to establish a supportive and inclusive platform for budding baristas at the grassroots level. Through offering a stage for them to compete, learn, and exhibit their skills, our aim is to cultivate a dynamic and encouraging coffee community, thereby contributing to the overall development of the industry.
When We Start?
The MOC (Malaysia Open Championship) has been held five times. It was paused due to the Covid pandemic and successfully resumed in 2024 with its fourth edition. Since its inception in 2017, the MOC has showcased premier competitions such as the Malaysia Open Barista Championship (MOBC), Malaysia Open Latte Art Championship (MOLAC), and Malaysia Open Brewers Cup (MOBrC). The championship is dedicated to fostering the growth and nurturing the talent of baristas throughout the Asia Pacific region. By providing a supportive platform for grassroots-level baristas to compete, learn, and showcase their skills, the MOC aims to cultivate a dynamic, inclusive coffee community and contribute to the development of the coffee industry.
