Southeast Asia's First Coffee in Good Spirits Masterclass
The first quarter of 2018 ended with the bartending-barista industry coming to life during three full-day sessions with the World Coffee in Good Spirits champion of 2017, Martin Hudák. Held in Omakase + Appreciate, Kuala Lumpur on the 27th and 28th March as well as in Macallum Connoisseurs Coffee Company, Penang on the 29th, Martin shared his journey as a professional in the industry, and how he sees himself as a bridge between coffee and cocktails.
Out-going senior bartendar at The American Bar at the Hotel Savoy London, Martin has continued to spread his passion for coffee cocktails worldwide, sharing his knowledge and skill here for the first time in Southeast Asia.
The three day Masterclass saw a total of thirty-four participants, whose experience in the bartending industry ranged from zero, to national championship level. Despite the disparity, not one person left their session having caught something new and meaningful from the world champion himself.
