Barista Guild Asia offers a variety of courses. Be it learning to identify the underlying flavours of coffee or making latte art, we have courses that will take you a step further in the coffee industry.
Our classes are also offered in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin, aside from English.

This course teaches both theory and practical - theory for your understanding and practical to ensure that you know your way behind the espresso bar. From learning the history of coffee to making latte art, setting your grinder safety precautions and customer service, this course will cover the basics.
We will take you through how coffee is cultivated, harvested and processed. We also help you to identify different roasting profiles as well as best practices in buying, storing and grinding coffee. You will also learn the fine art of brewing and how to evaluate a great cup of coffee and other brewing methods that will bring out the most flavor and aroma.
Every barista wants to be a great latte artist, but not many know where to start. Learn the essentials of frothing, pouring and etching in this session and be on your way to impressing yourself with your own Instagram-worthy latte art shots.

Cupping coffee is probably one of the many essential skill anyone whether a coffee buyer, barista, roaster or even a consumer can develop within the coffee industry. You will learn how the judges determine what quality grade a varietal of coffee deserves. Experience the judging process with this course and heighten your knowledge on what differentiates good coffee, from bad coffee.
Interested in manual brewing? This course teaches you the many different ways to brew at home! Understand the brewing concepts and parameters that will affect your cup of coffee and learn about the the brewing methods that brings out the most flavour and aroma of every bean.
Heighten your tastebuds with this essential course that captures the heart of the café - the espresso. It is the base of the latte, cappuccino, flat white and mocha, and may be our key source of caffeine in the mornings, but also the key to a great cup of coffee. Use all your senses to identify the many different flavors of coffee in this important course!
You’re never too young to learn anything! Register your child in our babyccino latte art workshop and let them have fun with making their own latte art. Don’t worry, there’s no caffeine in the babyccino, it’s just a cup of chocolate and fun!
